White rice is the staple diet of the Asians. They are grown in Thailand, Vietnam, Japan and Korea etc. These white rice may come in different types but it is a versatile food! They can be made into porridge or fried rice. The famous dishes for white rice are Hainanese chicken rice, Teochew porridge, Thai pineapple rice, Japanese sushi and the Korean Bibimbab.

To many Asians, rice is the first thing they will think of when they are hungry. Give them a bowl of rice and they can easily cook you some delicious hearty side dishes to go along with it.
