This shot has pleased me immensely.
I didn't know I had caught this shot so clearly until the end of the day and seeing it on the screen. I'm really pleased with it and it reminds me just how wonderful the bird life is in North Norfolk on the coast and what a thrill it was to see so many birds that I had only previously seen on wildlife progs on the TV or in books. I thinks I spent much of the week 'ooohing' and 'ahhhing' and looking skywards.

Although at first glance it may seem that I have inherited the gene that makes me photograph everything before I eat it, (like the penguincakes do), I actually posted this to talk about the restaurant. I didn't get any good photos of the restaurant because I'm lacking in skill and experience when it comes to photographing rooms, so this will have to suffice.

The Grape Gallery is a small restaurant which Jeff (Erin's dad) took us all to. It's in Roleystone on Brookton Hwy near the corner of Peet Rd. Jeff, who has eaten at many fancy restaurants around the world insists that he has never been disappointed with a meal here, and he's been eight times in a couple of months since he first dined here.

This is the dessert that Erin had while we were there. I'm not remembering what it was called, but she insists that it was a toffee cake with butterscotch sauce. It was most delicious! It also turns out that it was gluten free - much to our surprise.

Unlike many restaurants that you might go to in Vic Park or Leederville, here you are served by the owner, and not some teenager earning an hour. He's very friendly and accommodating. His wife makes all the desserts, which were all fantastic. All of the mains were great too!

I would recommend The Grape Gallery to anyone who lives out down the South West corridor.
