Well, I obviously can't take a picture of the great St. Patty's day party, with big pints of Green Beer ... because we can't drink over here. So, I just took the easy way out. Lucky Charms is one of my favorite cereals anyway, so I really don't mind having a picture of it. :-)

By the time I thought to snap a picture of the patty melt, it was in my belly. They turned out delicious.

We went with Sarah and Pete for an early birthday meal at the Lime Tree. We had been wanting to try it for a while but I never fancied the vegetarian options they have had in the past. Mine was actually really nice, I had lovely asparagus with hollandaise for starter and the main was different to anything I have had in a restaurant before - cashew nut and mushroom encroute. This is a picture of my pudding - rhubarb crumble with custard - it was delicious!! Sarah enjoyed hers too but the boys were moaning about there being too much sauce on their steaks, however, Pete always moans about his food and Andy is hard to please so if that was their biggest complaint then it wasn't too bad!

Sometimes I take pictures of my dinner.

Trying to embrace fresh halibut season. Local, sustainable, nutritious and delicious!

Probably some first time making lentils. Still got some learnin to do. Halibut was seared in some butter then finished in the (toaster) oven for a few minutes. I love sticking my pans in the toaster oven.

Pork satay, pre-grill. I would have taken a picture of the finished product but it was too delicious.

Marinade:
1/2 c water
1/2 c soy sauce
1 T tahini
1 t chili powder
1 T minced garlic
1 t minced/grated ginger
1 T sugar
1 T lime/lemon juice

Slice your pork real thin. Drop it in the marinade. Let it sit. Put it on the skewers. Grill for like 5 minutes. While the delicious, delicious pork is grilling, put the marinade in a saucepan on the stove and reduce the marinade to make a delicious, delicious dipping sauce.

Thanks, Mark Bitman.
