If he isn't smoking some fish or playing bocce on the clay court, Jimbo might be sitting in the shade enjoying the company of friends. Since 1954, he's been here hosting everyone from celebrities, big shots and politicians to good friends, neighbors and regular folks. Everyone's welcome.

The Most Popular "Location" In Miami
Music video shoots, models and photographers, television shows and motion pictures are shot on location at Jimbo's every week. A horror film named Island Claws in 1980 built the infamous shacks and left them there. Among the notables are:

Barn Swallow Take II

Johann and I were walking on our semi-regular walk down to the Ft. Rachel Marina and we spotted a pair of Barn Swallows on the piers. They kept sweeping by us and diving down low to the water right at the edge of the pier. We were observing comb jellies, shrimp, fish fry and crabs in the shallows on the landward side of the pier. As we moved on a few feet the male came to rest on one of the supprts. We had watched the female dive under the pier a couple of times, emerging again after a few moments. In the large version of this pictures of this fellow you can just see some lacy wings of a small insect. Obviously they have built their nest in the support structure under the pier. A little surprising to me, as the pier gets fairly regular foot traffic not to metion all the boats coming and going... one berthed right across the narrow pier from where this fellow landed in fact.

Australia survival kit

A little box I made for Furious L. as a present when she left for her trip to Australia. It containes instructions on how to behave in Australia, reference pictures of places in Belgium, pictures of Belgium beer and of the friends she's leaving behind, an adjusted map of Belgium and Australia, a specially designed wisle to attract Nort Sea shrimps to Australia (her favourite dish),...
Finished it too late in the evening to take pictures of the final thing.
