Bird food

After a couple of years in the garden, it's the first time that this plant sets flowers and fruits (I don't know why; I guess the plant wasn't mature enough until this year).
Here's a shot of the fruit in situ and a "stock photo" type of shot with some more details.
The red pulp and seeds of the fruit look like those of a pomegranate, hence the Spanish name granadilla (little pomegranate). Unfortunately, these are rather insipid (only faintly sweet, with an equally faint flavour). Birds seem to like them, though.

Después de un par de años en el jardín, esta es la primera vez que esta planta da flores y frutos (no sé por qué; me imagino que la planta recién es suficientemente grande ahora).
Estas son una foto de la fruta in situ y otra tipo "publicitaria" donde se ven más detalles.
La pulpa y semillas rojas de la fruta se parecen a las de la granada, de ahí que se le diga "granadilla". Lamentablemente son medio insípidas (son apenas dulces, con un sabor igualmente soso). A los pájaros parece que les gustan, sin embargo.

Artichoke

I cook my artichokes in a pan with some butter and olive oil. Then add a half cup of vegetable stock and steam for 15 minutes. Once they are ready add lemon zest and serve immediately.
