Chocolate Mocha Chocolate Chip Cookies
Some hurricane baking. (We baked A LOT and cooked A LOT during the hurricane. All comfort food.) A King Arthur Flour recipe. www.kingarthurflour.com/recipes/double-dark-mocha-drops-r...
I only had chocolate chips so I pretty much followed the recipe to a tee except for the chips. I also added about a cup only - 2 is too much. These didn't spread as much as the picture on the website, but reading the comments, it seems like a common problem, if you can call it a problem. They are absolutely delicious. Unbelievable warm, had with milky tea.

I hate it when all the books I've been on a waitlist for arrive on the same day!

i'm typing this bit outside, in my hotel's garden. it is absolutely
beautiful. in fact, take a look!
right now i can hear what sound like owls--which is wierd, because the
sun is still pretty bright--along with angry-sounding czech
announcements over a loudspeaker. i think there might be some sort of
soccer (football!) game nearby. there's also some ratty cat that just
crawled up in front of me, curled up. and laid down. on with meals:
i have been snacking on some preservativified pastries and some pretty
delicious granola for breakfast. got those and some potato chips and
juice at a nearby grocery store for maybe 200,- CK (~).
today's lunch needs two pictures to be fully described. first, i was
going to try to see the jewish museums, which was pretty stupid on my
part. saturday is the sabbath, enit? i was hungry so i looked for a
place to eat, and found a pizzeria not far off and stopped in.
this was the second attempt to eat pizza today. the first was
unsuccessful because after i walked in and saw people eating pizza and
getting served, the server disapproved of my pronunciation of "dobry
den" ("hello" in czech) and then announced "we're closed" in english.
take a look at the menu. not only does it claim that pizza is a
health food, they also claim to have the original recipe from italy.
i had to try this. i ordered the "viennesse" because from
the description i thought it would be pepperoni. i also thought 150,-
CK was a little steep for a slice of pizza...
hot dog pizza. at least they gave me more than a slice. for a moment
i was reminded of the pizza hamburger i ate in new york city...
let's recount the situation here. i am eating pizza, via the original
recipe, that is a health food, with hot dog slices on it, sitting
directly across from the old-new jewish synagogue. deciding whether
or not the hot dogs were kosher is a task left to the reader.
